We are pleased to announce that Dr. Eva Duda, a member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research into Health and Illness team, has been awarded the SONATA research grant by the National Science Centre. In the awarded project ‘Intersectionality of migration, disability and gender in contemporary Poland’, Dr. Duda will address the problems of one of the most marginalised communities in the society.
The study aims to explore the social constructions of and to identify the links between migration, disability and gender.
The research will expand on and develop Eva Duda’s previous work on the status of EU migrants and Polish migrant women in the UK, as well as that concerning Brexit, refugees and asylum seekers and disability and migration as causes of social exclusion.
