I am a psychologist and a PhD student at the Doctoral College of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Wrocław. I graduated from SWPS University, majoring in clinical and social psychology. In my dissertation, I would like to explore the relationship between depression and work, using the example of sickness absence. I analyse the narratives of people who experience it and media discourse on this subject.
I am interested in how people talk and write about mental health problems. I am also interested in everything related to social inequalities. So far, I have worked in research projects on social exclusion, racism and the experience of illness. I am currently looking into discursive representations of death and coming out of loneliness.
I am also curious about research into new, fast-acting treatments for depression, such as psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and esketamine treatment, because I would like to study the process of recovery from depression framed in time.
