I am a sociologist and a political scientist with a PhD in Social Policy.

In my previous work I have looked at migration within the European Union, particularly between Poland and the UK and gender. My monograph entitled „EU migrant workers, Brexit and precarity: Polish women’s perspectives from inside the UK” by Bristol Policy Press came out in 2019.

I am particularly interested in intersectionality and looking at another human as a whole person with their specific characteristics intersecting with one another at any one time (e.g. their gender, nationality, dis/ability) which translates into their belonging or not to various social groups.

I have previously written on: EU migrants in the UK; Brexit; gendered migrations of Polish women; refugees and asylum seekers; migrants’ integration; disability and migration as shared exclusive categories; and qualitative research methods.

In my current work at the Centre, I focus on migration and disability as part of the National Science Centre in Poland funded research project.

I am passionate about working with marginalised communities using participatory methods in order to achieve greater health, wellbeing and social justice.

I publish under my primo voto: Duda-Mikulin.
